Nourish your Body with Herbal Extracts

I like to add liquid herbals to supplement my daily routine of supplements, the liquids are easy to add into my daily program, without adding a lot of capsules to swallow. Secrets of the Tribe makes two formulas which I really love for supporting my immune health. Their formulas are non-GMO, gluten free, preservative free, and 3rd party tested for foreign substances, and heavy metals. The herbs they use are sourced from Ethical suppliers.

Tribal Shield is a wonderful blend of tonic and adaptogen herbs, mushrooms, and elderberries. This is a nice blend which can be taken daily whenever you feel your immune system needs a little extra support. The formula will also support overall health and vitality. This formula is pleasant tasting and can be taken in the mouth or added to a beverage.
Ingredients: Astragalus, Maca, Calendula flower, Reishi mushroom, Schisandra berry, elderberry and echinacea.

Urgent Immune Boost is a more powerful formula for when you know your immune system is fighting something off. The herbs they used in this formula would make this a good choice to take at the first onset of cold like symptoms, or to combat sinus symptoms associated with seasonal weather changes. The formula is slightly bitter, so you may want to mix it in a little juice or add it to a smoothie.
Ingredients: Elderberry, Honeysuckle, Ginger, Horseradish, Andrographis herb, Garlic, echinacea, Osha root and Wild Indigo.
A bowl of Fresh tangerine slices provides some natural vitamin Cand the vibrational frequency of sunshine and creativity.

Nature’s Sunshine makes a formula in capsules called Seasonal Defense, which has some of the same properties as this formula. Seasonal Defense would be a suitable alternative to Urgent Immune boost if you prefer capsules.

Seasonal Defense is a unique product designed to support our immune system function during seasonal changes. The key herb in this formula is Andrographis paniculata. This herb helps to activate the immune response in the body. Andrographis paniculata has been used for hundreds of years in China India and Scandinavian countries to help the body cope with upper respiratory tract infection, fever, and sore throats. It is often considered a preventative herb for the common cold. The formula Seasonal Defense also contains the herbs Oregano and thyme. Oregano and thyme help to break up mucus, relax tension in the lungs, and have natural anti-microbial action. The herb Bitter Orange has been added to the formula, like the two previous herbs, bitter orange is commonly used as an expectorant to help the body eliminate excess phlegm and congestion. This herb also has antihistamine properties. Often when we start to get cold symptoms we wonder if the symptoms are from an allergy or a virus, this formula addresses both these areas. The last herb in this formula is Eleuthero, also known as Siberian ginseng. This herb has powerful antioxidant properties, as well as stress and immune supporting properties.

Burdock Root is a wonderful plant that comes to help in times of seasonal changes. This herb supports the hypothalamus gland (the gland responsible for triggering that drainage from your sinus). The hypothalamus gland also controls hunger, you may have noticed you are suddenly hungry at nighttime and can’t figure out what you want. Burdock helps to minimize the reaction to the temperature changes and tame the appetite that relates to temperature shifts. I found it helpful to take a couple burdock just before bed to help stop the sinus drainage that results from the overnight drop in temperature.
